Summertime PNW Senior Portraits
Emma’s summertime PNW senior portraits are the perfect example of what a dreamy July shoot can be. This sweet, quiet graduate was referred to me through her BFF who was on last year’s Model Team. I am so fortunate to be able to meet so many AH-mazing young women through past clients and friends!! It makes me so happy to know that in addition to capturing such important moments for these girls and their families, we can also create a full community of seniors who are looking out for one another! And I think that is pretty cool!
One of a Kind Senior Portrait Experience
What I love about planning portrait sessions with my seniors is that each one is totally unique and designed for them! Even if the locations are the same, there are many elements which differ. Depending on the time of year, the outfits a senior chooses, which poses feel the most genuine to their personality, and tons of other factors, you get a completely different look. For Emma’s session, we got lucky with a nice sunny, July day. We shot completely outdoors and even did some frolicking in the forest in bare feet! With her bestie there to hype her up, we all had such a good time going from location to location!
Custom-Made Style Pieces
There are tried and true ways to ensure that you don’t end up wearing the same outfit as another senior girl on your portrait day. The first way is to check with your senior photographer during your complementary wardrobe consultation. At AHP, we make sure that you will be looking your best and that we don’t have an accidental twinning situation on our hands! The second way, which our fab senior Emma chose, is to bring a piece created just for you! Our favorite outfit from Emma’s shoot was the custom-made maroon tutu skirt that she paired with a dark, mesh long-sleeve top. How cute and creative!
Behind-The-Scene of an AHP Session
We all love seeing the touched-up, blemish-free, finished product of a photo shoot. But getting a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes action can be even more fun! So much goes on behind the camera to make your senior portrait day a one-of-a-kind experience. Starting with H+MU and working our way up to catching those final sunset shots, we document as much as we can and post on our social media for you all to see.
