About the Senior Team
Welcome to Senior Team 101, a blog post dedicated to everything about the Senior Team! With a new year comes a new name and we wanted to make the introduction blog official! From our team members to the quarterly themed shoots, and of course all the perks, this post will cover the most important topics and answer some questions you might have about life on the Senior Team. If you are new to the AHP community and wondering what the Senior Team is, why you (or your senior) should join, and how to get in contact, this is the post for you! Let’s dive right in!
New Name, Same Team!
You may have noticed that the Class of 2024 got a rebrand! While we loved being the “AHP Model Team” for the last 5 years, we decided it was time for a change that better reflected our modern style. Our new Senior Team is exactly the same, only without the confusing and sometimes limiting term “model” (which it was never really about in the first place.) Our team has always been about creating new friendships, building community, and documenting your senior year! As Ferris Bueller said, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it”. By being a part of the AHP community for their senior year, we are encouraging these girls to be fully present and make the most out of their last year of high school!
A Senior Year Sisterhood
The first way we do that is by building community! Think Barbie, but for high schoolers! The Senior Team is made up of high school seniors from the surrounding Seattle-Tacoma area who all signed up for a once-in-a-lifetime senior year experience. We only accepted up to 3 girls from each school, so they get to meet people who are outside of their normal circles and might not have had the chance to meet otherwise. While they each might start as strangers, by the end of the season, they all have each other’s backs and have created a year’s worth of AH-mazing memories together. How cool is that?!
Themed Shoots, New Friends, and So Much More!
During their time on the team, the girls also get to be a part of awesome, themed shoots every quarter! In the past, we have done Milk Bath Orchard Shoots to end the summer, Lights and Clouds Studio Portraits, and one of my favorites, our Project Beauty Shoot. On top of getting to hone their skills in front of the camera before their senior session, they get tons of perks specific to the Senior Team. As a member, you will be considered for the cover of the Senior Inquiry Magazine and be the face of Amanda Howse Photography.
