PNW College Grad Portraits

These PNW college grad portraits feature two of my return clients who I have gotten to know for years! There is nothing I love more than reconnecting with some of my girls and catching up on their life. Well, that and being surrounded by some old university brick buildings. They make for the BEST backgrounds!! But we’re getting off-topic! Like I always say, even after graduation, you’re always a part of the AHP family! Sarah and Angelica are gorgeous women inside and out, and I am overjoyed to share their graduations with them as they begin the next stages of their lives! 

Master’s Degree Celebrations

I first met Sarah about seven years ago when I photographed her sister’s wedding! Since then, I have become good friends with the family, photographing graduations, maternity shoots (see Hannah’s winter session here), and eventually, Sarah’s own wedding! This year, I got to continue the celebration with Sarah’s graduation from her Master’s program. What can’t this woman do?! We started her portrait session with some classic shots in her cap and gown. Then we decided to have a little fun and pop open that bottle of champagne! I can’t wait to catch up with Sarah and her family again in a few short weeks for their huge family reunion photoshoot!! Until then, we’ll keep toasting to her and her AH-mazing grad school accomplishment!! 

Graduation Portraits at PLU

The next grad I got to celebrate is Miss Angelica! She was on my Class of 2019 Model team as a senior, and is now a Class of 2023 graduate from SPSCC! She heads to Pacific Lutheran University next to begin her social work journey. Look at her go!! It was so good to see her again and take photos like we did back in her model team days! For this dark-haired beauty’s grad shoot, we got to explore PLU’s lovely Tacoma campus (hello brick buildings!). Angelica wore her bright, colorful stolls with a white dress and tons of PLU gear for her other look. Absolutely stunning! In a few more years, we get to come back and capture another one of her graduations! I can’t wait! Celebrating Education and Building Community

I love taking photos of my graduates from where they hope to go or the colleges they have graduated from. Education is a tool for empowerment and I love celebrating it, in all its forms! The foundation of the AHP Model Team is holding space for young women to be fully themselves. When we allow communities of young women to thrive, we let information flow and their confidence grow. On and off the camera, our group of girls gets to question, laugh, explore, and learn more about themselves and others. Whether it is through team shoots, group conversations, or in the classroom, our girls get the tools to help them thrive from high school graduation to college graduation and future careers. And I love being able to grow this community year after year!
