4th of July AHP Photoshoot
This year’s 4th of July AHP Photoshoot with the Class of 2024 was an instant hit! It was our first Model Team holiday shoot and we went in with a bang, fireworks pun very much intended! From festive decorations to red, white, and blue coordinated outfits, this lively group of girls brought all the American spirit and so much more! During themed shoots, we always create such fun memories together as we plan and play with props. While we know 4th of July barbeques and lake days are the classic go-to celebration for this summer holiday, we think our pre-potluck adventure might be the perfect new tradition to add to your family’s party plans! For All Our Patriotic Tacoma Fans
For our ode to America, we went to our tried and true location in the heart of industrial Tacoma. The girls and I set up shop near the iconic 11th Street Bridge with its red, white, and blue buildings. This location is full of awesome backgrounds with so much history baked into every surface. What screams USA more than celebrating in a place so impactful to the success of our very own city? There aren’t a lot of shoots that we get to utilize this awesome location for, and it is always a treat for me to get to come back and see what new poses and ideas we can come up with. Having planned the shoot right before sunset, the sunlight was ideal! We had plenty of sun but luckily it wasn’t too hot. Thank goodness the heatwave waited a week or we would have had some much different photos!
Celebrating Fashion, Fireworks Style
There isn’t a better time to let your flag fly high than the month of July. While we had plenty of flags at the ready, we couldn’t let that be the only star of the show. The girls went all out with their patriotic outfits to make sure that they would shine just as brightly! With props galore, there were endless combos to pick from, and they had so much fun mixing and matching as the shoot progressed. But my favorite look of the day had to be a pair of OG Tommy Hilfiger overalls! Straight out of the 90s, these blended classic fashion with a modern twist and worked perfectly with a pair of white Converse and a red bandana. I mean, come on! That’s a look to be celebrated!
Behind the Scenes of Our Red White and Blue Party
While the girls were bringing their stunning looks, the Model Team parents brought the party spirit! Behind the camera, they were our biggest fans. Supplying us with tons of hype-team energy, prop ideas, and of course, their constant support! And we loved it! The girls took that energy and put it into all of their photos. From high kicks in flag-patterned pants to all eight girls lined up in a row for side steps, they kicked the fun into high gear.
