Ballerina Portrait Sessions
Ballerinas are so elegant and such a joy to photograph. These ballerina portrait sessions capture their incredible talent and gracefulness. As a photographer, I love playing in the studio and on set. That’s one reason I host modeling portrait sessions, where I select the outfits and themes and you can come take photos with me.
Boho Ballerina Portraits
I envisioned a fun shoot with a boho ballerina theme, and Mud Wall Family Farm was the perfect place. This rental property for photographers sadly no longer exists, but I am so glad we had the opportunity to shoot a ballerina portrait session here a while back.
The farm had a stunning boho set up with lovely flowers and an awesome little house. There was so much lush greenery, and the girls struck poses amidst the trees and grass. Macramé hangings and rattan chairs added to the boho feel.
A Ballerina Tea Party
Some of these ladies had never met before, but they had so much fun together. After dancing in the forest, these ballerinas hosted a tea party. They donned full tutus, black leotards, and ballet slippers. This shoot had such fun Alice in Wonderland vibes. I just love the vintage teacups and mismatched teapots.
Ballerinas in the Studio
In addition to the outdoor ballerina photo shoot, we had fun in the studio. Studio 253 is the best spot in Tacoma for indoor portraits. The wall of windows lets in so much natural light and gives an ethereal feel to these ballerina portraits. The girls danced around the studio in modern leotards, fun tutus, and flowy dresses.
I loved capturing their poise and elegance in the studio and outside. We stepped out of the studio for a few modern portraits on the sidewalk. There are so many fun spots in Tacoma for urban portraits, and I love the juxtaposition of these graceful dancers and the urban city environment.
