Tacoma Urban Rocker Portraits
Mid-November was the perfect time for Miss Kate’s Tacoma urban rocker portraits! She was able to show off all her cute, cool weather fits and accessories which just fit her aesthetic spot on. Perfect weather for punk-rock vibes! And of course, we had so much fun!
Street and Studio Session
We adventured around Studio 253 for some awesome urban looks, which went great with Kate’s rocker-punk vibe. Wandering through a Tacoma street showed us tons of new artwork on the walls which we just had to stop for! Such a great background and a local connection for our high school senior! Kate even found some gorgeous blue-green steps to pose on that added so much dimension and a unique flair to a classic steps photo! Before heading out, we started the shoot in the studio, to get some glamour shots. Kate gave in to our requests for donning a hat and we are so glad she did because it looked AH-mazing on her! She isn’t afraid to try out new looks!
Rocking a Bold Lip
Tracie (our wonderful HMUA) came along as Kate’s stylist to change up her looks and make sure her hair was perfect. She also stepped in as the lighting assistant!! We had a blast. I love that she and Kate went for a nice, powerful lip color. It’s so fun to rock a bold lip for your senior session. If that’s a look you love, go for it, girl! A few lip tips to help you out: make sure your lips are as smooth as possible to get the best photos. No cracked lips on my watch! The best way to achieve this is to apply a moisturizing chapstick multiple times a day for the week leading up to your pictures. You’ll be amazed at how much a little chapstick can do to ensure your lips are perfectly smooth and ready for a bright, bold lip!
Cool Weather Wardrobe
And now for this lady’s style! Kate paired her powerful pout with an array of fab, rocker fits. We are talking Doc Martens, 90’s choker vibe, baby doll dress, and ofc tights! Tights are such a fun outfit accessory when we have cool weather. Another cool weather staple: jackets!! Kate showed off so many fun ones, from black jean to leather, and even a warm full-length overcoat. Perfect for laying in the leaves at Wright Park, where we ended our night! How great does Kate look surrounded by those fall colors?? This senior really nailed her urban-rocker style and it was a blast getting to capture these shots for her!
