Bright Tacoma Summer Portraits
This lovely young lady, Miss Sarah Elexis, is a cheerleader who loves yellow, so to kick off her bright Tacoma summer portraits we headed down to Opera alley and found an AH-mazing wall to complement her yellow top! So fun! This girl is a member of the 2022 AHP Model Team, and is always up for an adventure so we stayed in Tacoma and wandered around finding the perfect locations to match her looks. Sarah’s earthy-colored outfits worked so well with the urban backgrounds and building sides of downtown! Just look at her orange top against that dark iron gate. How stunning is she?!
A Dress and Doc Martens
In case you haven’t heard, bright colors and Doc Martens are back! And we couldn’t be happier about it! Sarah’s retro-style floral dress and black Doc Martens are a dream fit for an eye-catching senior moment! Just by swapping out a pair of summer sandals, you have a completely new look that is so in right now! This style-tip works for urban locations, like downtown Tacoma, and for more natural locations like the lush flower garden or waterfront rocks at Chinese Reconciliation Park. Absolutely try it out, and maybe add some fun bold colors. Just like Sarah picked out for her awesome looks!
Early August Sunlight
Sarah’s session was in early August, and we had the most perfect sunny weather. Photos are All. About. The Light. This is why when you book an AHP senior experience, we always have a lighting assistant on hand. Even on a gorgeous day like the one we had for Sarah’s shoot, you can never be too careful. We want to make sure every picture looks top-notch, just like you! Notice how well the light shines through in those waterfront beach photos and catches Sarah’s features perfectly! That’s our goal! And some of Sarah’s senior portraits have already been published in senior magazines!!
A Family Affair
At AHP, we want to make sure you have a senior experience to remember! And while the day is all about you, it wouldn’t be complete without your family there to show you some love and support. Miss Sarah’s family did just that! Both of her parents came along to assist and Dad was the BEST reflector holder out there!! How sweet is that??? Side note, this girl also has a twin brother who we got to photograph last September! Check out his blog post here and see how we used the cool, hazy weather to make his shoot great!! Both Sarah and her brother had truly magical shoots and we all had SO much fun! I have loved getting to work with them and their family!
