Who to Bring to Your Senior Session | AHP

Who to Bring to Your Senior Session

Are your portraits booked, but you’re wondering who to bring to your senior session? This blog post is for you. Your senior portrait session is a unique experience, one that celebrates your years of hard work and your upcoming graduation. This is a great day to make memories, especially if you bring someone important to you.

Bring a Parent to Your Session

I highly encourage my seniors to bring their mom (or dad!) to their senior portrait session. This is a day the two of you will look back on forever. Spending the day with a parent is such an ah-mazing way to say thank you to them for booking your senior portraits and cheering you on throughout your education. Think about how much your graduation means to them, too.

Your parents have been there for you since the beginning and sharing your session with them is a great way to celebrate your relationship. We can shoot a few mother/daughter portraits or father/daughter portraits. As an added bonus, these photos are perfect for those Instagram tribute posts on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day!

Bring Your Bestie

Bringing your best friend to your senior portraits is an instant confidence boost. Having a friend there to cheer you on, help you with outfit changes, and keep you laughing ensures that you feel comfortable in front of the camera. This comes across in your photos – trust me!

And if you bring your bestie, a sibling, or your parents, we’ll put them to work! Having an extra person at your portrait session means there is someone to hold the reflector so that I can capture you in your best light, whether we are in the studio or outdoors.

Bring a Pet

I did not forget about your furry best friend, either! Bringing a pet to a session can be so much fun. I love seeing the bond between a senior and their pet. Dogs love playing and posing during your portrait session, and you’ll have photos with them that you will treasure forever. Plus, pets are guaranteed to keep you smiling! Just remember to bring a lint roller for your outfit changes.
