4^th of July Photoshoot | AHP Class of 2021 Model Team

This 4^th of July photoshoot in Tacoma with the AHP Class of 2021 Model Team was so much fun! It may have been a windy, cold Tacoma morning, but the girls rocked it. We had hoped for warm summer weather, but it just wasn’t in the cards. So much for summer in July!

These girls made the most of their second group photoshoot together. I am loving getting to know the new AHP Model Team. They all have such different personalities, but I can already see ah-mazing friendships forming!

Outfit Inspiration for 4^th of July Photoshoots

The girls put together their best patriotic outfits for this Independence Day photoshoot. It may have been chilly, but they still rocked cute sundresses, skirts, and shorts. Each girl has their own individual style, and it is so fun to see how they make summer trends their own.

I am all about cute shorts and ripped denim! Some of these outfits felt like total throwbacks – from the Old Navy T-shirts to the denim overalls and plaid button-ups. And what could be more patriotic than a pair of rustic cowboy boots?

There is no denying that PNW outfit inspiration often includes layers. Even though July 4^th is usually our official start to summer, the weather can still surprise us as it did for this shoot! The girls brought classic jean jackets and flannels to layer over their cute summer looks.

Urban Portraits

We decided on an urban setting for this 4^th of July photoshoot. Old, run-down buildings are ah-mazing for urban senior portraits! There is so much history in Tacoma, and the buildings we found brought a rustic, Americana vibe to the portraits. The dry grass and wildflowers amplified those vibes. And I just love that we found red, white, and blue backgrounds for the girls to pose in front of.

One of the girls brought her dad’s maroon Jeep for some cool photos. The girls piled on the Jeep and took turns posing in front of it. Such an awesome car!

Celebrating the American Dream

This session felt like such a fun way to celebrate the American Dream! The girls showed off their patriotic style and had so much fun getting to know each other more. We laughed through this whole session. Even though it was freezing, the girls all had smiles on their faces the whole day. And the wind was perfect for all the flag props we brought.
