Grunge & Edgy Senior Portraits
Nick brought the rock and roll vibes that we all love to his grunge and edgy senior portraits. And I just love how these shots turned out! Don’t you?! For Nick’s mid-October session, we got a little bit of Rockstar, a little bit of plaid, and a whole lot of fun! This session was totally him and it was a blast for me to shoot!!
Industrial Tacoma Locations
My favorite part about meeting our seniors for their session is hearing what style they have envisioned for their day! Nick’s shoot was totally unique, which meant new location scouting for me!! To prep, I scouted out and found cool industrial locations in Tacoma to match the look he wanted. And I found the perfect spots with tons of props and bold backgrounds. Between shipping containers, bridges, old buildings, and cool fences, Nick looked great in front of them all! After our industrial Tacoma adventures, we ended the night in the studio getting a few fun shots with Nick’s checkered skirt and awesome tights combo! His energy was so fun!
Rocking in the Rain
Nick loves plaid, checkerboard, and graffiti, so of course, we incorporated all those elements where ever we could! The graffiti on the trains?? Wow! The bright colors looked so good against Nick’s all-black outfit. We may have been in Tacoma, but the Seattle grunge movement came to us! Once I found out how much Nick loves his guitars and guitar picks, I knew it was time for a show! So we brought them along for props, which turned out soooo cool!! This senior really knows how to pose! At the end of the day, it started to rain! Luckily, as a PNW photographer, rain is expected, so we always make it work for us! We got out the black umbrella and got some fun shots in a bright red bush that we found. Who says you can’t rock out in the rain??
AHP Product Spotlight
The hardest part of any shoot (shockingly not the changing weather!) is waiting for the prints to arrive after your private AHP viewing session! This normally takes a few weeks, but once you finally get your products, it is totally worth the wait! And I love seeing which items each person orders. One of the products Nick’s mom ordered was a 16 x 24 storyboard! This product is really cool because it is a collage showcasing your favorite photos from the session! Then it’s printed together and mounted on a styrene board so it’s hard and frameable. Perfect to match the décor in your house! You can see the images and layout Nick and his mom chose for their storyboard in the last picture below! AH-mazing!
