Overcast Senior Portraits

In the PNW, all of us have worried that we will end up with overcast senior portraits, even in summer! We analyze the weather patterns and hope we have scheduled a good day, one that is full of sunshine. While most of the time everything works out for the best, sometimes the weather has a few tricks in store. That is exactly what happened to our AH-mazing senior, Miss Alli. But don’t worry, this story has a happy ending! Keep reading to get all the details about her summery senior session. 

Getting to Know Alli

This Class of 2024 Senior is one impressive cookie! I know I say that about all of my lovely seniors, but I can’t help that it’s true! Miss Alli is a superstar VP on her high school’s ASB, has a perfect 4.0 GPA (or maybe even higher??), and will likely be attending an Ivy after graduation. On top of being in numerous clubs and this year’s AHP Senior Team, she is a wonderful person. I can confirm this personally! After many months of shooting together on team portrait days, I was so happy when it finally came time for her very own session!  

TLDR: Gloomy Skies Make For Great Portraits

We spent the day checking off her chosen locations one fabulous photo at a time. Since we had previewed all of her outfits weeks before, the only thing left to do was have fun! Which is exactly what we did! With her mom by her side, Alli rocked all of her shots. To end the day, she wanted to get some beautiful sunset portraits overlooking the water. Sadly, the weather had other plans! As the day progressed, dark clouds rolled in and hid our view of the sun. Despite the change in weather, we still went forward with the shoot. Alli was up for the challenge, and guess what? She LOVED her gloomy skies! Sometimes we have to trust the process to get our favorite photos of the day!
