BFF Studio Portraits
Miss Kaitlyn (college undergrad and former AHP Senior Team Member!) booked these BFF Studio Portraits as a surprise Christmas gift! Since graduating in 2023, she has been studying down at GCU in Arizona. While she was home for winter break, she contacted me to help her schedule a super fun surprise shoot for her and her BFF, Mayleah. I would do almost anything for my AHP Family, so of course said yes! Plus, who doesn’t love being a part of a surprise?
Cold Weather Session? No problem!
The cold winter months might not be the first time of year you think of when wanting to schedule your portrait sessions. We live in such a beautiful area that most of the time outdoor photos are our go-to style. However, even when the weather is bad, we can still get some AH-mazing portraits taken indoors thanks to our professional studio space! Located in downtown Tacoma, Studio253 has been our tried and true workshop for every season. Because of its size, design, and open-concept layout, the studio can be rearranged to match any style. From family photos to pageant portraits, this space has seen it all!
Why Photoshoots are the Best Christmas Surprise
I’ve always thought that photoshoots are one of the best surprises to gift someone. I know I may be a bit biased, but let me tell you why they are so great! First, it is unique! How many people do you know who had this on their list for Santa? Second, it shows you put a lot of thought into the idea. For almost every photographer I know, you have to book at least a month in advance, if not 6 months to secure your spot. Third, it’s a gift that is both physical (hello heirloom quality photos) and that’s an experience! You not only create memories that last forever but you receive a collection of photos that will too. How can it get more perfect than that?
Style Spot Light: Christmas Jammies and Blue Jeans
For Kaitlyn and Mayleah’s studio session, they split their BFF portraits into two different looks. The first was a classic take on blue jeans and black and white tops. So cute and the perfect casual look that will work for any time of the year! Being that it was a surprise Christmas shoot, they also brought their festive spirit (and fuzzy socks) for their second outfits! They both coordinated so well in white Christmas jammies without being too matchy-matchy. After how much fun all of us had, I am just dying for the next pair of adorable BFFs to book their holiday session!! Have someone in mind?
