Sunshine Senior Portraits in Tacoma
We dubbed this lovely mid-October session our sunshine senior portraits in honor of the sunshiny senior they were taken for. Miss Kylee is a smiley, sweet, and vibrant girl! We couldn’t have asked for a session that matched her bright energy more. The sun followed us all over Tacoma and gave us the most perfect light to capture Kylee’s portraits all day long! If you are searching for a fall senior portrait session that still feels like summer in Tacoma, this is the one for you! It’s crazy how diverse one season can be!
On-Location Hair and Makeup
We started the day in the H+MU chair! But unlike our normal sessions, the chair happened to be located outside AT our first location. How fun is that?? Our AH-mazing H+MU Artist, Tracie Campbell, brought her brushes and styling tools to the site for a truly one-of-a-kind experience. I snapped some before and afters of our gorgeous senior to show what a typical senior portrait makeup look entails. Tracie’s camera-quality makeup is designed to be different from your everyday makeup routine. She does a fantastic job highlighting, never hiding, the senior’s natural beauty. Auburn River Portraits and BTS Moments
After our senior got all glammed and pampered, we were ready to start snapping! For this shoot, we began at a brand new location in Auburn! This spot has access to a cool bridge AND great views of the river. We had a blast exploring this area and trying new poses that best fit this new spot! Kylee’s pink flannel and cute white boots were the perfect outfit for this fall-feeling location. And, we got some cute behind-the-scenes shots to show just how we capture some of our best shots of the day!
Point Defiance and Chinese Reconciliation Park
Our next location for Kylee’s portraits was Point Defiance. Even in the fall, the gardens were full of life and full of gorgeous flowers for our senior to pose with. One of my favorite shots from the day was Kylee reaching out over the top of the flowers, right toward me and the camera. Add her adorable smile and oh. my. gosh! We got the shot! We ended our day at Chinese Reconciliation Park right off the bay. Kylee posed on the rocks, and even got into the water! She has her parents there to cheer her on in the cold water. Her dog and her boyfriend made a special appearance too! Having family and friends around to support their seniors is just the best! Plus, it made Kylee’s smile that much more genuine!
