Rustic Tacoma Summer Senior Portraits
This awesome senior brought her parents along for her Tacoma summer senior portraits. I simply love getting to know my seniors and their families, and it is so much fun when we get to spend the day together. Jaden and her parents were a blast to be around. We explored Fort Stilly together, chasing the sunshine and capturing this gorgeous girl in her best light.
Rustic Senior Photos
Fort Steilacoom is the best location near Tacoma for rustic senior portraits. The tall grass looks like wheat in the summer, which was perfect for miss Jaden’s July session. She brought along cute floral print dresses and borrowed a hat and arm cuff from the AHP Style Closet. I simply love how her style matched the setting.
Why You Should Book a Summer Senior Portrait Session
Summer senior sessions are so great, and my schedule fills up quickly. I open my books for the Class of 2022 in mid-March, so (hint, hint) mark your calendars now. There are so many reasons to book a summer session in the PNW. The weather is simply gorgeous, and we’re much more likely to have yummy, golden light. And you can bring along your favorite summer outfits, including flowy dresses and cute, strappy sandals. And don’t worry, I bring along a pop-up changing tent for your wardrobe changes.
Bringing a Parent (or a Friend) to Your Senior Session
I’ve talked before about who to bring to your senior portrait session, but it’s worth repeating! Having a parent or close friend with you at your session is such a confidence boost. These people are your cheerleaders, and they’ll keep you smiling and laughing throughout your session.
For parents, this is a chance to see you all grown up and celebrating this important milestone. Your graduation will be a big change for them, too, and having them experience your senior portrait session with you will be so meaningful. Jaden’s parents hopped into a couple of her portraits, giving them more photos to treasure forever. And how much fun those portraits will be to print and post on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
