These rose garden senior portraits in Point Defiance are filled with gorgeous blooms, fun outfit inspiration, and a quick trip down to Owen Beach! Mikala and I had so much fun exploring the garden and the beach in August.
In Full Bloom
August is prime time for Point Defiance Rose Garden senior portraits. The roses are blooming and there are so many gorgeous colors throughout the garden. Mikala drew inspiration from the setting for her senior portrait outfits, and I love how beautiful she looks in floral prints!
Glam Style
Her glam makeup matched perfectly, and she made sure to get a manicure before her senior session. I always remind my seniors that their hands will show in nearly every portrait! And professional hair and makeup are such an important part of looking and feeling your best for senior portraits. That’s why I offer it with every senior portrait session and have a team of professional hair and makeup artists that I trust. Kara, AHP’s lead HMUA, highlighted Mikala’s beautiful features and chose colors that looked natural. She also switched up her hairstyles to coordinate with each outfit.
Show Who You Are
Mikala swims and plays water polo for Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup, so we knew we would have to head down to Owen Beach for her senior portraits. She brought her amazing letterman jacket along for her portraits by the water. Being a part of a team during your senior year is something that should be celebrated. I know how hard these girls work to balance school, sports, work, and social activities!

Amanda was amazing to work with. She captured my daughter’s personality perfectly. So much attention to detail. She spent so much time creating the most beautiful portraits. Talk about difficulty choosing portraits. Kara did an outstanding job with her hair and makeup and it was so worth having her come along to touch up makeup, put a different lipstick color on and change up her hair.
