Summer Senior Portraits in Point Defiance
These summer senior portraits in Point Defiance and Owen Beach are filled with gorgeous blooming flowers and all the style inspiration you could need. There is so much to explore around this area, from the rose garden to the beach. The garden adds beautiful pops of color to any senior portrait session, and I love all the lush greenery.
Confidence is Key
Taijah is such a lovely young lady. Her confidence shines and she loves being 6 feet tall! She has a gorgeous smile that lights up the room and she is so kind. When you first meet her, she is shy and quiet but quickly opens up. It is such a joy having her on the 2020 AHP Model Team. I did her older sister’s senior portraits last year and I loved getting to know them both.
Flawless Style
Kara did Taijah’s makeup, giving her a gorgeous natural glow and highlighting her flawless skin. She also added a braid to Taijah’s hair. Minimal jewelry and classic hoop earrings accented Taijah’s wardrobe perfectly! She chose a cute printed romper and a plaid tee and black jeans for her rose garden portraits. I love when my seniors play with different accessories to change up their look – Taijah added a fun hat to a few of her portraits from the AHP Style Closet. Taijah is on the dance team at MRHS, so we had fun doing dance-inspired poses throughout the garden.
Senior Portraits on the Beach
After capturing her summer senior portraits in Point Defiance, we headed down to Owen Beach. It is so fun to get into the cold water in the summer! Taijah kicked off her shoes on the beach and headed straight in. I love how the hem of her striped dress floated in the water. We also brought along a cozy blanket for some portraits on the rocky beach and driftwood. I am always prepared for senior sessions with blankets and other random accessories you may need.
A Bright Future Ahead
Taijah is hard-working and determined. She attended the Washington Youth Academy and has volunteered with local animal shelters and food banks. She has plans to go to college to study nursing. Given how compassionate and helpful she is, I know she will be an amazing pediatric nurse.
Her advice to incoming seniors is to try and do as much as possible so you don’t have any regrets for your senior year. She lived out her own advice and did everything she could, including track, tennis, and dance. I am so glad she is part of the model team, too!
