Weight Lifting Senior Portraits
This week we have another AH-mazing session with Katie’s weight lifting senior portraits! This natural beauty was referred to me by her gymnast friends who I’ve had the pleasure of photographing in the past! I love senior girls helping each other out! That is the type of community that AHP has loved helping build over the years. It can be intimidating to find a senior photographer you feel comfortable with and even harder to find one that highlights your passions. For that reason, among many, I am so happy to be able to give these girls the awesome senior experience they deserve! Let’s check out what we did for Katie’s shoot!
August Gym Sesh
We started off this beauty’s session at a place near and dear to her heart (and biceps!): Alpha Barbell. Since Miss Katie spends so much of her time here, we felt it was the perfect place to start off her senior session. And boy did she crush it! We took her cute red dress and added her Team USA jacket to add a bit of glam to her normal weightlifting gear! It was just perfect with the gym background. Lifting chic anyone?? There is nothing cooler than seeing someone show off the special skills that they’ve worked so hard to cultivate. Especially when they have their cute pup by their side!
Wild Hearts Glasshouse
After our quick gym sesh, we cleaned up and headed to one of my favorite spots, Wild Hearts Farm! We had so much fun here! For our late August session, we rented out their one-of-a-kind glasshouse to get those natural, farmhouse vibes Katie wanted! Wild Hearts is a great location to photograph seniors, elopements, and even fun-themed shoots. And they offer a variety of different setups to accompany each type of session. From their cute, rustic truck, which we’ve used many times for different themed shoots (check out the AHP Model Team Fall shoot here!) to their glasshouse, and of course, all the beautiful trees and foliage adorning the property! Wild Hearts has it all! Even the most gorgeous dahlia for Katie to pose with that matched her pink eyelet skirt!! The modern farmhouse vibes from the glasshouse were GORG! Just like Miss Katie!
Strong Girls are Cool
Exactly one month ago we shared about another senior girl who works just as hard in the gym as she does in the classroom. If you haven’t already, you can check out Annalise’s Early October Session at Brown’s Lighthouse and Stadium High School here! We love seeing our strong girls show off and be inspirations to others! And they look AH-mazing doing it! Miss Katie works super hard to achieve her goals all while staying humble and kind. Not only is she a world-class weightlifter (yes, you read that correctly!!) she also finds time to connect with her family– her little sister even came to this photoshoot with her! – and be involved in school activities like DECA and track! She also loves to read (a Harry Potter fan after my own heart!!). This girl is strong inside and out! And I just love how it shines through in all of her different photos!
