Sunny Tacoma Senior Portraits | AHP
These sunny Tacoma senior portraits have me thinking about how fun the city is in the summer. Miss Catherine is a 2020 high school graduate, and I had so much fun getting to know her. She was a star basketball player and all-around boss babe. For her senior portraits, we adventured all around downtown Tacoma and I am so excited to share more.
Late Summer Senior Portraits
We captured Catherine’s senior portraits in early September. Having senior portraits done towards the end of summer in the PNW usually means yummy sunlight and perfect weather. It was a gorgeous day! We started shooting a couple of hours before sunset to capture Catherine in golden light and ended her session with sunset portraits. It was so magical.
UW Tacoma and Downtown
This senior portrait session was an adventure. We wandered all around UW Tacoma, taking portraits on the steps and around fun architecture. We also got to explore downtown Tacoma with all its cute storefronts. I just love the pink bike in front of hello, cupcake! Catherine posed with the bike and on a cute chair on the sidewalk. It was so fun to explore the city together.
Then we headed to the Museum of Glass for some modern senior portraits. The MOG is such a great place for outdoor senior portraits. It’s an experience that is so Pacific Northwestern and I love sharing it with seniors. Catherine’s sister came along for the session and these two were all smiles for the afternoon!
Cute Summer Style
Catherine had her hair and makeup done by my pro, Kara, and she looked ah-mazing! They decided on beachy waves for her gorgeous blonde hair, and Catherine just looked so summery. Her natural makeup and wavy hair perfectly complemented her casual summer outfits.
Catherine kicked off her session in a floral wrap crop top and denim miniskirt. This is such a classic combo! I love seeing new trends every year, and it is so fun to see what twist my seniors put on timeless outfits. Catherine also rocked an awesome striped jumpsuit and cute little black dress. A little black dress is a must-have for senior portraits, and you can choose to dress it up or down. This fashionista paired her LBD with dark red ballet flats. This was one of my favorite outfits.
