Model Team River Shoot
We got up early to chase the beautiful morning light for this picturesque Model Team river shoot! Every year when the weather starts warming up, I like to plan a little water shoot with the girls. It makes taking a bunch of photos in 80-plus-degree temps so much more fun! Last year’s river shoot we found a brand new location near Buckley, in the White River. I didn’t think we could top those photos, but every year we keep getting more creative! Let’s jump in and see what the day was all about!
Best Senior Team Photos For the Summer
I love summertime in the PNW! During most of the year, Western Washington is a gloomy, rainy wonderland. Which we still love, but it makes us especially happy when the sun shines and we can head outside without our rain jackets. That being said, it can heat up quickly! Our yearly river shoots are one of the ways the girls and I like to have fun, cool down, and get some AH-mazing photos all at the same time. We love planning other shoots that get us out of our homes and into the outdoors too. What to Wear For River Portraits
One of the best parts of planning a river shoot, or any shoot in the water, is what you’re going to wear! Unlike a traditional shoot, you have to be prepared to get your clothes a little (or a lot!) wet. For this reason, I tend to advise the girls to wear sun dresses, skirts, or even a swimsuit with a cute wrap. They look so good flowing on top of the water and you don’t have to worry about ruining your favorite pair of jeans or nice jacket! It’s also really easy to accessorize. Adding a sun hat, sunglasses, or a cute bouquet adds that little extra wow factor! What would you wear for your water shoot?
Soaking up the Sun with the Class of 2024
All in all, this model team river shoot was one for the books! The girls and I had so much fun soaking up the sun, getting a little more tan, and building lifelong memories with each other. After, they splashed and swam in the water, and I even got in up to my knees! This group of seniors is full of energy and always comes up with the most fun pose ideas. They keep my energy high and are always showing me the latest trends they think are cool.
