Styled Wildflower Shoot

Is there anything better than sundresses and spring flowers?? The Model Team got plenty of both in this styled wildflower shoot! Last spring, I fell in love with the groves of flowers I saw popping up all over the Seattle-Tacoma area. One field in particular (I drove by it every day in my neighborhood!) was the muse, and eventual location, for our “fun in the flowers” portrait series. These shoots were endlessly fun for the girls and me, and the perfect way to capture the gorgeous PNW springtime that we all love so much! 

Seniors in “Switzerland”

The location for this styled shoot was in the middle of a field of orange flowers the team came to affectionately call “Switzerland.” It has hills of flowers, is surrounded by trees, and even has a few sections of old fence that gave our portraits a rural, rustic feel. In short, the location is a photography dream!! Especially with the addition of that magic hour sunlight. Naturally, we had to do a few shoots here! The seniors were AH-mazing (of course) the location was set, now we just needed to find the perfect outfits! Cue the Style Closet! 

Orange-Themed Outfits

This was a stylized shoot, so each of the girls had to dress to fit the orange theme. Which meant heading to the AHP Style Closet to pick our favorite items! Orange, in all shades, is SO trendy right now. We wanted to find a color that complimented the flowers but would still stand out. And orange was perfect! We added some classic black-and-white fits to the mix too and off we went. The girls started in cute Free People dresses with floppy hats and converse. They then switched to some ’70s vibes with the groovy fuzzy jacket and burnt orange overalls. Seriously, how cute is this fit?? And no AHP shoot would be complete without a few flowers in the hair! The Model Team let their flower power shine during this shoot, and we had a blast!!

Spending Your Senior Year on the Model Team

If you haven’t heard already, applications are open for the Class of 2024 Model Team! And there are just a few spots left! Each year, we selected a diverse group of talented, caring, hardworking senior girls from the surrounding Seattle-Tacoma area to be a part of the AHP family. They are the people who help me test out new ideas, scout locations, and model for all the fun, styled, and themed shoots we do all year! As part of the Model Team, each girl will get a year’s worth of professional photos and exciting memories to add to her high school experience! And that’s just the start. More importantly, they get to join a community that is here to watch them (and help them) succeed! Through the ups and downs of senior year, the highs and lows, your senior will have another group of like-minded girls to support her and have fun with. What could be better than that??
