Old Hollywood Studio Portraits
My lovely intern from the Class of 2022 Model Team wanted to do some Old Hollywood studio portraits before she moved away to college, and I was so happy to oblige!! Styled shoots are some of my favorites to photograph. We are able to have fun and just get creative together. And there can never be too much of that! I will miss having Emmalee on the team; getting this time with her before she left was perfect!
Studio253 Glamour Shots
We planned her glamorously styled shoot in my Downtown Tacoma studio, Studio 253. If you have not yet been, you are missing out!! This incredible space has a wall of windows for a ton of natural light as well as our white walls and newly painted floor to add as much brightness to our photos as we need. We are always switching up the backdrops, adding props, and decorating the studio to match different themes and ideas too. Like the pink and black backgrounds we did for some of Emmalee’s shots! The pops of color are great to mix into the set to contrast our bright window portraits.
Fashion Forward Cutie
Emmalee has been an AH-mazing part of our AHP family. I did her senior portraits as well as having her as my intern, but honestly, it feels like I have known this lovely girl forever!! She always has an eye for fashion and brings the cutest fits for our shoots. Of course, this one was no different! Emmalee modeled an array of stylish ensembles to capture that old Hollywood feel. From pearls to that gorg emerald green dress. Is anyone else getting Evelyn Hugo vibes?? I especially loved the long draping fabric she used for a prop and as part of her outfit, such a pro move!
Timeless Editing Styles
We played around with a few different looks and editing styles for this session, and I simply LOVE the results. The black and white edits fit the retro style we were going for perfectly. Timeless and elegant for our gorgeous model! Emmalee’s poses were soft and playful. And I loved her pose on the purple chaise lounge! Hollywood, we’ve got another starlet for you!
