Studio Model Shoot
Miss Emma graduated a few years ago, but she came back to the studio for this awesome studio model shoot! I always have so much fun working on these model shoots with former seniors of mine. Plus, being a redhead myself, I can’t help but get excited every time I get to photograph some gorgeous long red hair!! Emma was a treat to work with and we had so much fun getting our creativity flowing for this short session!
Playing Around in Studio253
Studio253 is the perfect location to play around for these types of model shoots. And boy did we play! We started her session next to the crisp white background and large bright windows we just love at the studio. At the end, we brought in a cute, rustic ladder too! Emma decided to go barefoot for most of the shoot, which I think makes things so much fun and keeps the poses relaxed. As a professional photographer, dedicating this time and energy to getting creative energy flowing is so important. I love working with my clients and bringing their visions to life for their portraits!
Styling Our Model Shoot
We styled Emma’s shoot with a mixture of her clothes and mine from the AHP Style Closet. For one of the day’s looks, Emma dressed in a fluffy purple skirt and printed tank. She decided on incorporating minimal accessories but had the cutest rings and simple necklaces. She also rocked a blue dress with a two-strap heel that went so well with her bright red hair! After our fun with a selection of dresses and skirts, we switched gears to casual “painter” vibes with jeans, a white tank, bare feet, and an adorable pair of rectangle sunnies. This girl could really rock any look!
Hair and Makeup
This beauty did her own hair and makeup for our session! Emma planned a single makeup look that went with all of her outfit changes. But if you aren’t someone who knows how to do their makeup for the camera like Emma, don’t worry! We offer H+MU to all of our seniors so they don’t have to worry about doing it themselves or finding a stylist on their own. A professional artist can give you a simple, natural look that highlights your already beautiful features, or, for themed sessions, they can work with you to bring a fun/bold vision to life! Whether you want a styled shoot that fits a specific theme (see Mallory’s Halloween shoot here), a glam shoot full of extravagance, or to just play around like Emma and I did, we’ve got you covered!
