Redhead Senior Portraits
Our lovely senior, Miss Lexie, brought her super-fun personality, free spirit, and gorgeous flowing locks to the studio this summer for her redhead senior portraits! I’ve known Lexie for the past year from her time on the 2022 AHP Model Team. But I was so happy to switch gears from the team focus, to finally plan a special day all about her! I knew Lexie would just rock her senior session, and of course, she did even better than I expected!
Dark & Cloudy Contrasts
We started off Lexie’s session in Studio253 with a simple, neutral white background. This created such a gorgeous contrast with Lexie’s bold black outfit and fun new hat! From the studio, we walked down the street to the garage rooftop and got some awesome photos with a dark, cloudy sky in the background. While so many people want bright, sunny, summer portraits (which are gorg ofc), the grey of a dark sky can just as easily make your session pop too! Especially against such brightly colored hair like Miss Lexie’s! And a huge shoutout to her BFF for coming along and being the best lighting assistant, it makes all the difference in catching the perfect photo! Where would we be without our best friends am I right??
Posing with Personal Props
For one of her fits, Lexie brought her grandfather’s red flannel to add over her black tank and cute beige flared pants. What a sweet way to incorporate family memories into your senior session! Along with her red flannel, she also brought a bouquet of sunflowers (her fav!) to add some pops of color and fun to her looks. Diversifying your session with props, especially personal items, can make a huge difference in your photos! If you have something you just love, bring it! I would LUV to help you show it off and create looks and poses that work for you! After all, it is your day!
Artsy Ft. Stilly Field Shots
After our shots in Tacoma, we headed to Fort Steilacoom to get those rustic country vibes that paired perfectly with Lexie’s third and fourth fits! Using the worn fence post and the long paved road always adds different layers of perspective, not to mention it looks AH-mazing! Fun fact about our senior: Lexie is a photographer also! So she wanted to make sure we got some artsy field shots of her before the shoot ended. I think we did pretty good! What do you think?? This girl is so much fun and I just had a blast watching her play around the golden field at Ft. Stilly. What better way to end our session?
