Point Defiance Summer Portraits

Point Defiance summer portraits are always so much fun with seniors, and this sunny session has all the inspiration you could need. Miss Taylor knew she wanted a fun session and vibrant photos in a natural setting. So, we explored Point Defiance, Owen Beach, and a few other areas nearby for her session, giving her a ton of variety for her senior portraits.

The AHP Model Team

I am so grateful to Taylor for joining the Class of 2021 AHP Model Team! She and her sister, Kendall, are one of the two sets of twins on this year’s team. It’s so ah-mazing seeing their bond at our team portrait sessions. They have so many similarities, but so many differences. And I love getting to know more about them with each portrait session.

Big Plans for the Future

Miss Taylor is a cheerleader at Bonney Lake High School. Before COVID, she had the opportunity to travel to Rome for cheerleading. This boss babe works so hard, and I simply love seeing how much she has accomplished. She has big plans to pursue a career doing what she loves and may even find herself coaching cheerleading one day.

In addition to being a cheerleader, Taylor is an artist. She is so creative and sees everything as a form of art. She pushes herself to learn different styles of drawing and shading, and she has recently developed an interest in digital art. I know she can use her talents to pursue anything she wants to, and I can’t wait to see if she ends up in animation, painting, or video game design.

Fun Point Defiance Senior Portraits

Point Defiance is one of the best spots for outdoor senior portraits. There is so much to explore, which gives your portraits a ton of variety. Miss Taylor wanted blooming flowers, and the Point Defiance Rose Garden is simply gorgeous this time of year. The flowers gave her portraits the vibrant result she was looking for!

I am so grateful to Taylor for trusting me with her Point Defiance summer portraits. We had so much fun walking through the gardens before heading down to Owen Beach. She posed between stalks of bamboo, next to hydrangeas, and in front of stunning roses.

Owen Beach

Owen Beach is such a beautiful place. There are large pieces of driftwood scattered across the beach. Taylor had so much fun posing on the driftwood and exploring the rocky beach. She even dipped her toes in the cold water. We had a gorgeous clear day with a little bit of sunshine, which was perfect for an afternoon at the beach. Summer sessions are so much fun in the PNW. The weather is simply beautiful, and there are so many spots to explore. Taylor loves hiking, and I am so glad we got to adventure throughout Point Defiance together.

Natural Hair & Makeup for Senior Portraits

Taylor doesn’t usually wear makeup, but our pro HMUA Tracie knew just how to highlight her features perfectly. She opted for a natural lip color and glam eye makeup. Every AHP senior portrait session includes professional hair and makeup. We always want our seniors to look like themselves, but with an extra boost of confidence. Plus, it gives our seniors a chance to be pampered before their portrait session.

Taylor was simply glowing for her senior portraits! She has gorgeous waist-length hair that she wore down in loose curls. It accentuated her floral outfit choices and gave her session a boho feel.

Summer Style for Outdoor Senior Portraits

Miss Taylor loves high-waisted pants and floral prints, the perfect style for Point Defiance summer portraits. She kicked off her session with a cute off-the-shoulder blouse and light jeans before changing into a bold red floral blouse.

She also brought along a strappy black tank, jean shorts, and a sunflower-print top. I simply love how she chose flowy, comfortable pieces that looked so stylish when put together. For her beach portraits, she opted for a classic jean jacket (a must-have!) and a floral sundress.
