Owen Beach Senior Session in September
This Owen Beach senior session is one of my absolute faves, and I am so excited to feature it. Miss Isabelle is a Class of 2021 AHP Model Team girl, and she has been such an ah-mazing addition to the team! She always seems to be happy, with a beautiful, genuine smile on her face. And she simply loves hugs and surrounding herself with positive people.
She brought along her mom and close friend for her PNW session, and we had so much fun. Isabelle’s mom often comes to the AHP Model Team shoots and does a lot of behind-the-scenes photos for me. And I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Isabelle’s younger sister, too! They are an awesome family. They even brought along balloons for Isabelle’s upcoming birthday.
Twilight Inspired Senior Portraits
Miss Isabelle has gorgeous pale skin, and we played off of that for a Twilight themed session in the woods. The PNW is so gorgeous, and this session highlighted all the best parts of living in Washington. We started in the Point Defiance Rose Garden before heading down to Owen Beach.
The Rose Garden is filled with lush greenery and gorgeous blooms, even in late September. Isabelle walked the tree-lined paths, posed on moss-covered logs, and soaked up a bit of the early fall sunshine.
September Style
Early fall in the PNW is the perfect time to bring out the sweaters and tall boots. It’s still warm enough for a dress (with layers!), and Miss Isabelle styled her session perfectly. She started things off with a stunning lace dress with buttons down the front and wedge sandals. This was such a fun look and it was perfect for the mid-day sunshine we had. She also snuck in an outfit that was totally her: a Friends shirt, ripped jeans, and pink Crocs.
This boss babe also rocked a black tank top, fuzzy sweater, and jeans. Cognac booties completed her fall look. If you don’t know already, I bring along a pop-up changing tent for your senior session. This makes it easy to do wardrobe changes, even for outdoor portraits. And Miss Isabelle had a few stunning outfit changes. Her olive green romper looked perfect on the beach, and the whole session was straight out of the Twilight movies.
Natural Hair and Makeup
Miss Isabelle has a gorgeous white stripe in her hair, and we wanted to show it off for her portraits. Tracie, our pro hair and makeup artist, styled Isabelle’s hair in loose curls, with the white streak front and center. And Isabelle’s makeup highlighted her porcelain skin, freckles, and gorgeous green eyes. We always want our seniors to look like themselves while feeling an extra boost of confidence.
Another must-have for your senior portrait session: a fresh manicure! Miss Isabelle chose to have lilac nails for her portraits. Your hands show in a lot of the poses, and nicely manicured nails photograph beautifully. You can have fun with color or play it safe with neutral tones.
All About Isabelle
Miss Isabelle smiled in every portrait, and I simply love how happy she was throughout her session! This girl has been so much fun to get to know. She’s energetic, friendly, and spiritual, and all of that shows within moments of meeting her.
She has so much passion for her interests, which range from choir singing to community service. Miss Isabelle loves teaching and wants to go into elementary education. She lights up when she talks about the teachers that have helped shape her, and I have no doubt she’ll do the same as a teacher one day.
Another awesome fact about Isabelle: she’s a state champion. This boss babe is the team captain of her bowling team and they have had such a successful year. Since Isabelle has been bowling since she could walk, she just knows it’s a lifelong passion.
