Summer Point Defiance Senior Session
When Cecelia said she wanted color in her senior portraits, I know we had to get a summer Point Defiance senior session on the books! We skipped the rose garden but still found some gorgeous blooms for her in this early May session.
Let me just say that it is never too late to get your senior portraits done, even if you’ve already graduated. This year there is a lot of craziness going on and senior year does not look the way that the class of 2020 had hoped. I am here to make sure 2020 seniors still get their portraits done! Don’t be shy. Scroll down for my contact info and let’s get a session scheduled for this summer.
Senior Portraits in a Grassy Field
Cecelia trusted me completely for her senior portraits in Point Defiance and it resulted in some ah-mazing images. She laid in the green grass and I love the casual summer vibes of her portraits. We walked through the fields and soaked in the sunshine and blooming flowers. Summer is so special in the PNW and I am so glad Cecelia chose this season for her fun senior portraits.
Taking portraits outdoors is such a fun way to show off this city we live in. The weather cooperated, but I have fun with senior portraits even when the skies are overcast and mini rain showers surprise us. Just another reason to trust your photographer – I am prepared for every possibility.
Summer Outfit Ideas
The floral print dress Cecelia chose looked perfect in the grassy fields and with the fresh flowers. She also grabbed a new hat from the AHP Style Closet (a must-have for outdoor senior portraits!). There are so many ways to switch up your summer outfits – from accessories to layers.
Cecelia not only rocked a sun hat; she also added a sweater to switch up her look. An extra layer can make your outfit look completely different! Her cute dress transformed into a sweater/skirt combo. And it’s always a good idea to bring layers in Tacoma, regardless of the season. You just never know what the weather may hold.
Owen Beach Senior Portraits
After exploring Point Defiance together, we popped down to Owen Beach for a few more summery senior portraits. Cecelia changed into a cozy knit sweater, light jeans, and white sneakers. This is such a classic outfit for senior portraits! I love how timeless it is, and the neutral colors looked ah-mazing on the beach.
Owen Beach is one of my favorite spots for outdoor senior portraits, and I am so sad that I have heard it might be closed for summer renovations this year… Luckily, I have scouted out other awesome spots for my outdoor summer sessions.
I am so glad Cecelia trusted me as her senior photographer. Scroll through for some gorgeous summer inspiration.
