Equestrian Senior Portraits
It is not very often that I get to shoot equestrian senior portraits. In fact, I can’t remember when the last time was! That is part of what makes senior photography so much fun for me. Whether it is weight lifting, dance, theater, soccer, or something else entirely, all of our seniors have their own interests and activities. And I love it when I get to help bring those hobbies to life in their photos. For this shoot, Gracie and I got to visit a private horse ranch! Stay until the end to hear all about how it went!
Class of 2024 Besties
The lovely Miss Gracie is not only one of my AHP seniors, but she is also a member of the Class of 2024 Model Team! I have had the pleasure of working with her on many shoots throughout the year. I’ve also gotten to know her Bestie, Lexie! Lexie is the one who first introduced Gracie and me when she suggested the two of them join the Model Team together. The rest is history! At every monthly shoot, these ladies have been side by side. Head over to the blog to check out some of their fun sessions, like the May pop-up shoot, or Model Team River Shoot!
Owen Beach Summer Session
We started Gracie’s portraits at Owen Beach and Pt. Defiance. This Puyallup senior loves nature and wanted her portraits to reflect that. Pt. Defiance is the perfect spot for getting show-stopping shots of spring flowers, bright green bushes, and lots of trees! We snapped some shots in the iconic Rose Gardens with Gracie’s awesome blue monarch wings and then headed over to the beach for some more fun before making our way to our final destination: the horse ranch!
Horseback Riding in Style
When we were scheduling Gracie’s sessions, we knew we had to plan a part of our day with her horses! Gracie loves horseback riding and it would not be her perfect shoot if we did not get some magical portraits of her looking like a majestic princess next to these beautiful animals. She picked the best flowy white and black dresses for this portion of the day, and we had the perfect sunlight to top it all off! Getting to see Gracie in her element was so much fun for me, and we have to give a round of applause to these two horses for being such good sports! Aren’t they the cutest?
Let’s Connect!
