Celestial Editorial Shoot

This celestial editorial shoot features one of my 2023 Model Team girls, Miss Mallory. And I am so excited about these photos! Mallory and I have had so much fun collaborating on styled and team shoots this year. This girl is wildly creative and I love seeing how she takes her ideas and brings them to life! For this shoot, we worked in the studio at nighttime to achieve the perfect ethereal look Mallory was envisioning. We got to get extra creative for some shots, and I think the images turned out heavenly! What do you think??

Night Time Studio Session

The shoot was a collaboration between me, our AH-mazing HMUA Makeup by Tracie, and Model: Mallory. She designed and created her headpiece and outfits all on her own. We got to bring out the clouds and play with all kinds of other props in my Downtown Tacoma studio space. We had so much fun experimenting with lights at this nighttime shoot. Our normal shoots are all about getting the best natural light we can during the day. We love our big studio windows and bright white walls and floors. But for this session, we got to do a complete 180 and went dark! This gave us such cool shadows and silhouettes to play with alongside the strands of multi-colored lights. SO fun! I just love creative sessions like these!

Creating with Other Creatives

Over this past year, Mallory and I have done many shoots together. From our spooky Halloween shoot to our fun in flowers editorial shoot, and all of our team sessions! And now, we get to add our celestial creation to the list! I love working with other creatives, especially those I vibe with.  Mallory and I have been working together for over a year now, and find ourselves growing and expanding our creative and artistic minds at each shoot. Even as a full-time high school student, Mallory’s dedication to these shoots is inspiring. This girl is always finding ways to do more of what she loves and I’m all for it! I cannot wait to see what we get on the books next!
