Wildflowers Pop-Up Shoot
Who doesn’t love a Wildflowers pop-up shoot? This past Spring, the 2022 and 2023 Model Teams did a bunch of shoots when all the gorgeous flowers were in bloom. Spring is such a beautiful time of year in the PNW, and I knew we had to take advantage of the season while we could! Luckily the girls agreed, and here we are: on a mission to find the best wildflowers in the Seattle/Tacoma area! Fun in the Flowers
This session, our Fun in the Flowers photoshoot took us to a bright orange and green field near my house! It doesn’t officially have a name, but I have taken to calling this hidden location “Switzerland.” It just fits so well! All of the orange flowers were in bloom and I couldn’t let the season go by without getting the girls out there for a session. And we had a blast!! The orange flowers popped so well on camera. But the big surprise was how perfect the grass was in this field! So green and soft! It was the best spot for the girls to practice some of their poses on the ground while laying or sitting. They looked like Springtime goddesses!
Playing Dress-Up, AHP Edition
For the wardrobe on this shoot, I had all of the girls raid the AHP Style Closet and pick their favorite dresses! Because who doesn’t love playing dress-up? They got all dolled up and we headed to the field to frolic among the flowers. Some of the girls accessorized with cute cowgirl hats and boots too! The Style Closet is available to the Model Team year-round (and to my seniors on their session day!) but it’s not often they get to style their entire outfit with items from the closet. So this shoot was extra fun, and allowed them to pick dresses they hadn’t gotten to try before!
Your Senior Year on Model Team
The AHP Model Team is an awesome group of girls. I know I say that a lot, but that’s because it is true! These boss babes cheer each other on, and I am so grateful I get to witness their friendships grow throughout the year! Every month during our shoots, the girls get a chance to see each other and discuss big events. Whether that is applying to college, preparing for graduation, or even getting excited for fun school events like prom and homecoming. It is also a time they get to let their hair down, get outside, and just have fun for the day. Building these friendships and community is a huge part of the reason I continue to love our model teams year after year. I am already so excited to meet next year’s class of AH-mazing seniors!
