Rooftop Guy Senior Portraits
For Drew’s rooftop guy senior portraits, we headed to downtown Tacoma and spent the entire day on top of the garage overlooking the city skyline. This Puyallup High School senior wanted that cool urban feel to his portraits and this rugged rooftop was the perfect location! We got the best light for our shoot, not too overcast and not too sunny. Drew rocked all of his looks and the pictures turned out awesome! Don’t all of our senior guys deserve great photos like these?? Absolutely!
Urban Springtime Session
We scheduled Drew’s senior portrait session for the Spring. This is normal for many of our guys and a highly coveted time for seniors! If you know already that you want a Springtime shoot too, make sure to book with me as early as possible to ensure you get a spot. Like I always say, it is better to book too early than to wait until the last minute when spots are already full! After all, we want to make sure you all get your AH-mazing photos on time!! Or order some of the gorgeous, AHP heirloom prints that you get to see during your viewing session at Studio253! And who wants to wait all year to get those?? Not me!
Portraits With Mom
The downtown rooftop had a lot of great spots to get unique sets of photos. Especially during magic hour (the few hours before sunset) when the Spring light is just gorg and glowing! Drew rocked all of his poses, which we made sure were relaxed and casual. One of my favorite parts of my senior sessions with our guys is when mom gets to sneak into a few of the shots! I mean, how cute is that?? While this day is all about Drew, I just love incorporating a little bit of mother and son time into the session before her baby leaves! The photos always turn out SO cute and make the perfect canvas prints to hang in your home.
WTW Guide for Guys
Selecting what to wear for your senior portraits, for the guys just as much as for the girls, can be a difficult decision to make. Sometimes your favorite “go-to” styles just don’t work for the session, even if they are perfect for every day. For guys, we always suggest having a good combination of casual outfits and more dressy attire. Wearing school gear is always a fun way to style your outfits for senior portraits too. Drew, our 2022 Graduate, is now attending Washington State University. So we made sure to get lots of great pics in his WSU gear before he left. Can I get a go cougs??
