August Tacoma Senior Portraits
There is nothing more beautiful than a dark, overcast PNW sky to complement a warm, August Tacoma senior portraits session. Well maybe there is one thing, and that’s Miss McKenzie! Her bright yellow top contrasted perfectly with the dark blues and grays of the sky to make her shoot simply AH-mazing! I mean, what photographer doesn’t love a complementary color moment?!
Showcasing Your Passions
We started off our session by heading down to the new Dunes Park in Tacoma, where this awesome soccer player wasn’t afraid to show off her tan, athletic legs in white shorts and a totally cute jean skirt. She even brought her soccer jersey to change into later for a few shots. Senior portraits are a great time to showcase your passions or something you love, like sports, animals, or even your friends and family! We usually have a family member/friend come along to your senior session to celebrate you, and they even get to jump into a few photos!! Just wait until you check out the shots we got of McKenzie and her mom! How sweet are these two?
Magic Hour at Fort Steilacoom
After capturing the stunning waterfront views at Dunes Park, we ended our night at Fort Steilacoom for that magic hour glow in the tall golden grasses! McKenzie wore a gorgeous blue dress which she paired with a classic jean jacket to switch up the look from casual to dressed up. A stylish jean jacket is the perfect accessory to change up your outfit and pose quickly, especially when you’re working with the sun’s timing! Take a look at Miss McKenzie’s photos to see what I mean. You can really see her happy and confident personality coming through! She just has such a fun and laid-back style that made her session look effortless!
A Peek at Our Senior
Though McKenzie is an avid soccer player and made it to state finals (how cool is that!) soccer isn’t her whole life. She is fascinated with the human brain and hopes to study neuroscience in college. She also plays in her school orchestra and loves paddle boarding on the lake with her friends. We wish this class of 2022 Senior the best as she keeps rocking her Senior year!
