Lakewood Fall Senior Portraits | Amanda Howse Photography
These Lakewood fall senior portraits include an area in Fort Steilacoom where I had never shot before! Fort Steilacoom is one of my favorite spots for fall senior portraits since the tall fields of grass are golden and we get ah-mazing light. Miss Sydney and I had a lovely session here in mid-October.
Getting to Know My Seniors
I had so much fun getting to know Sydney. She found me through AHP Model Team member, Brynn, who is also in the class of 2021. These two girls are close friends and neighbors! I love when my AHP Model Team girls refer me to their friends. It means so much to me that they love their experience on the team and want to share it with others.
Miss Sydney is so caring, nice, and passionate about her interests. This star athlete currently attends Bonney Lake High School, and she loves setting and accomplishing goals. And she has been playing fastpitch since she was four years old! She was a real trooper for her session, as she had injured one of her fingers. Luckily, we were able to hide the injury in the photos, and she brought her mom along to help her with outfit and shoe changes. Miss Brynn also tagged along for her Lakewood senior session and acted as her lighting assistant. The four of us had so much fun!
Fall Senior Session
This gorgeous blonde girl showed up in outfits that screamed summer, even though we were in the middle of fall! The ah-mazing thing about fall senior portraits in Washington is that the weather is usually still nice. You can wear cute dresses and tank tops like Sydney did, just bring along a classic jean jacket as an extra layer. Sydney also brought along new white Converse, which added an athletic vibe to her cute summer dresses.
Fall in the Pacific Northwest calls for flannel. Sydney paired her navy flannel with a white tank top and high-waisted jeans. This is such a classic PNW look. And she accessorized with the cutest Alex and Ani bracelet. Sydney loves wearing blue because it brings out her eyes, and nearly every outfit she picked included a shade of blue – including her fastpitch letter jacket!
Fort Steilacoom Senior Portraits
Fort Steilacoom is such a versatile place. There’s a beautiful forest, open meadows, rustic barns, and a cute beach. We lucked out with gorgeous light and had so much fun exploring the park! Miss Sydney sat on a park bench, walked the forest trails, and dipped her toes in the water. She truly made the most out of her session.
