August Portraits at Fort Steilacoom

Miss Olivia decided she wanted August portraits at Fort Steilacoom, and we had the best summer day together. This Class of 2021 AHP Model Team member has such a bubbly personality, and I have simply loved getting to know her. She booked a Le Diva session with AHP, and I am so excited to feature her sunny portraits.

AHP Le Diva Session

The AHP Le Diva session is a VIP option that includes professional hair and makeup, unlimited wardrobe changes, and access to the AHP Style Closet. Each season, I stock the AHP Style Closet at Studio 253 with all the latest trends, fun accessories, and clothing and shoes in a variety of sizes. Choosing what to wear for senior portraits can be overwhelming, which is why I love helping my seniors with a wardrobe consultation and access to the Style Closet.

Miss Olivia chose our “add a stylist” option for her session, so our pro hair and makeup artist, Kat, came along to the session to change up her hair and makeup between each outfit. And as part of the Le Diva session, we have a lighting assistant come along, too! This makes it such a fun experience, as you get an entire glam squad that is there to make sure you look and feel your absolute best.

Summer Style

It was a hot day in August for these Fort Steilacoom portraits, and Miss Olivia dressed for it. She has the best style and loves wearing baby blue to complement her blue eyes. For this warm summer day, she opted for flowy tops from the AHP Style closet, cute sundresses with feminine details, and frayed hem jeans.

She also brought along a cute hat and borrowed hair clips from the AHP Style Closet. I love how she accessorized with delicate jewelry and had her nails painted a lovely blush pink. Accessorizing for senior portraits is so important. You don’t want anything you pick to be too distracting, but you do want to show off your personal style.

Who to Bring to Your Senior Session

Your senior portrait session is an awesome experience, and it makes sense that you would want to share it with those closest to you. Miss Olivia has always looked up to her mom, and she’s inspired by her work ethic and loving heart. Both of Olivia’s parents are amazing, and I am so glad she brought them along for her senior portrait session.

Miss Olivia’s golden retriever, Pax, also made a special appearance. This 4-year old pup was so much fun to have at the session. I simply love how golden retrievers smile. Pax was by Olivia’s side for a portion of the session, and the two of them were so sweet together.

August Portraits in the Sun

Miss Olivia wasn’t afraid to get into the water for her August portraits at Fort Steilacoom. She went barefoot on the beach in a long, flowy blue dress and dipped her toes right in. She also posed on the driftwood and soaked up the sun.

Fort Steilacoom has fields of tall grass that are golden in the summer, which gives senior portraits here a rustic, country vibe. Miss Olivia looked right at home in her white lace dress, with a gorgeous braid in her hair. We explored the fields together, posed by the wood fencing, and explored the forest. By the end of the day, Olivia was a pro at blowing dandelions. And the dandelions at Fort Stilly are huge! They added a fun, whimsical touch to her summer portraits.

Bright Plans for the Future

Miss Olivia is passionate about theatre, and loves singing, dancing, and acting. She performed in her first musical freshman year and has been hooked since. She is hardworking and strong-willed, which I know will take her far in life.

This boss babe has plans to study cognitive neuroscience and psychology, with an eye on the University of Washington and the University of British Columbia. I can’t wait to see where she ends up! She has a bright future ahead of her.

Before she heads off to college, Miss Olivia has a super fun summer road trip planned with her best friends. I am so grateful that she was part of the AHP Model Team this year, and that she trusted me with her senior portrait experience.
