This Kubota Garden BFF senior portrait session with Gabby and Anna was so fun!! I met Gabby when she was a sophomore – I had the pleasure of doing photos for her boyfriend’s older sister. It has been so much fun getting to know her over the past couple years!! I was so excited to have her as a 2019 AHP Senior Rep Team Member! She knows how to pose, has a great sense of style, and is just so fun to be around! She just graduated from Mount Rainier High School with her best friend Anna. Both are super involved with swimming! Gabby is a lifeguard and swim instructor for kids at the local pool. Anna and Gabby will be attending WSU in the fall and can’t wait to be roommates!
BFF Senior Portrait Session
When Gabby decided to have her senior portrait session at Kubota Garden, she brought Anna along for a split session. I love when my seniors do this! It’s so much fun to take photos with your best friend. It makes the whole experience more laid-back and gives a boost of confidence to have your bestie by your side. They helped each other pick out outfits and kept each other smiling the whole day!!
An Afternoon Picnic
These two also brought their moms along, which made it even more of a fun experience! We were fully prepared!! We brought along the wagon with a changing tent for outfit changes, a picnic blanket, and plenty of snacks. It’s so important to keep the “hangry” at bay during these portrait sessions!! Anna’s mom even brought delicious frozen treats from Costco for all of us! Yum! The moms chilled on the picnic blanket on the grass while the girls and I explored the garden and found great photo spots!
Trust Your Photographer
It’s so important to trust your senior photographer!! A professional photographer will know if you should reschedule your shoot due to weather, or if it will be okay. We shot this session in mid-August. If you live in the PNW, you know that it can get smoky here from the summer wildfires! These two trusted me when scheduling their session and I knew we would get some awesome fire sunset portraits! I am so glad these ladies asked me for advice and trusted that I knew what was best for their session.
