Gig Harbor Senior Portraits
What an adventure this senior session was! Miss Alexis wanted Gig Harbor senior portraits, as this is where she lives and goes to school. We decided to make a day of it, starting at the Museum of Glass before heading off to the rest of our destinations. Alexis is so sweet, confident, and kind. She is such a fun Class of 2021 AHP Model Team member, and so is her twin sister!
Alexis knew she wanted a summer portrait session with a gorgeous glow. I am excited to share more from this ah-mazing day.
Museum of Glass Senior Portraits
Miss Alexis had a gorgeous August day with plenty of sunshine. It was a hot day, and we kicked things off at Studio 253 so Tracie, our pro hair and makeup artist, could style Alexis for her big day. Then we headed to the Museum of Glass! Alexis started her session in a cute polka dot crop top and jeans. She accessorized with fun statement jewelry and classic black Converse. She is all about casual style, and she rocked each look for her session.
There is so much awesome architecture at the Museum of Glass, and I simply love how modern it makes senior portraits look. And the location makes it easy to head down to the waterfront or drive up to Point Defiance.
Point Defiance Session
Point Defiance is one of the best outdoor spots for senior portraits near Gig Harbor and Tacoma. There is so much to see here. The Rose Garden is absolutely stunning in the summer, with plenty of flowers in bloom. Alexis changed into a yellow silk dress (borrowed from the AHP Style Closet!) and a cropped black cardigan. This outfit looked so beautiful in front of all of the flowers – I just love the pops of color. She also brought along a cute white sundress. Summer is the perfect time to rock cute dresses, rompers, and skirts.
Portraits in Gig Harbor
After exploring the Museum of Glass and Point Defiance, Miss Alexis and I headed to her hometown. Gig Harbor is so gorgeous in the summer. I love capturing seniors in their hometowns. It adds such a personalized touch to portraits and gives seniors photos they can look back on for years to come and remember where they grew up.
Alexis brought her basketball for her Gig Harbor senior portraits. This boss babe is an awesome athlete. And she matched her outfit to her school colors, wearing a cute blue floral tank top and dark denim. And blue is one of her favorite colors to wear since it complements her skin tone so well.
In addition to playing basketball, Alexis volunteers in her community, runs track, and sings. She also loves being outside and in the water, so we knew we had to sneak in some beach portraits for her adventurous portrait session.
Beach Portraits
Gig Harbor was not our final destination! We ended the day at a private beach on Fox Island. Alexis wore a gorgeous blue dress and wasn’t afraid to get in the water. Her sweet mom even brought a chair to the session so Alexis could sit on the beach for her portraits. This was such a great idea, and we had fun getting creative! Alexis strives to live each day positively and beautifully, and it was so awesome seeing her bring that energy to her portrait session.
