Adventurous Senior Portraits in Shelton
When Kami decided she wanted adventurous senior portraits in Shelton, I knew we were going to have an AH-mazing session. This gorgeous girl has a family beach house near Shelton, which served as home base for getting ready for the day. And her awesome mom came along as our tour guide for the day since the area was completely new to me!
Outdoor Senior Session
We started our adventure day at Kami’s family beach house. Then we headed to a stream nearby, which had tons of river rocks and moss. She wore a cute yellow Free People dress that is now in the AHP Style Closet! This bold senior went barefoot for this part of the session and she had so much fun exploring the stream.
We then headed deeper into the wilderness. Kami drove her Jeep Rubicon, the perfect ride for the rugged country. She also brought her bow and an American flag, both of which are important to her. I always encourage my seniors to bring props or accessories that have a deeper meaning to them, and I love how Kami really made the session her own.
We ended the session on a dock where her dad brought their boat for sunset portraits. Kami looked right at home! We spent some time on the water and captured portraits of Kami having fun on the beach.
What to Wear for an Outdoor Shelton Portrait Session
Miss Kami stayed true to her style for her adventurous senior portraits in Shelton. She wore distressed jeans and fitted tops before changing into a fun beach coverup for her waterfront portraits.
For her session, Kami chose the “Add a Stylist” option I offer for senior portrait sessions. This is such a great idea for wardrobe changes, as our pro hair and makeup artist will switch up your hair and lip color with each wardrobe change. Kami opted to wear her hair down for the boho portraits by the stream. A high ponytail amplified the sporty look of her bow and arrow portraits, with a touch of glam.
Getting to Know Kami
This boss babe’s full name is Kamryn, but she goes by Kami. She used to play competitive fastpitch, and once had an over-the-fence home run. Her softball connection led her to the AHP Model Team, and I am so glad she applied.
She’s a determined senior, balancing a ton of awesome hobbies while attending Running Start at South Puget Sound Community College. She has such a strong work ethic and is inspired by her hardworking mom. I had so much fun spending the day with Kami and her mom, and I can see where Kami gets her incredible focus and compassion. She’s also a coffee and ice cream connoisseur, and I love chatting with her about her favorite flavors.
Plans for the Future
Kami plans to attend Grand Canyon University, a Christian school, and travel for discipleship training. She wants to study nursing and become a nurse anesthetist. Both her parents are nurses, and she has known for a while that she wants to spend her time getting to know people and helping others. This girl has such a big heart, and I can’t wait to see everything she accomplishes.
