Senior Portraits in Tacoma with Fall Leaves
Miss Tatum knew she wanted gorgeous senior portraits in Tacoma with fall leaves, and I am so grateful she trusted me to bring her vision to life. This stunning session was worth the wait. We scheduled it for late October and ended up with a perfect sunny day in Tacoma.
Wright Park Senior Session in October
We kicked things off for Tatum’s session at Wright Park, which has a ton of gorgeous trees. The leaves were changing colors, which set the tone for this casual October session. Tatum has lovely red hair, and she styled her outfits beautifully and picked colors that complemented her hair and the surrounding fall hues.
After exploring all the fall colors at Wright Park, we headed to a few cool urban spots I had scouted before ending the day at the UW Tacoma campus. We had so much fun chasing the light and bringing Tatum’s dream portrait session to life.
Fall Style for Senior Portraits
Miss Tatum loves wearing forest green, and it looks simply ah-mazing with her red hair. She put together a few layered outfits for her outdoor fall portraits, and the results were stunning. She wore a beautiful cream dress and long cognac sweater before changing into distressed jeans, a black lace cami, and a long green cardigan. Her third fall layered outfit included black denim and a cozy white sweater. I simply love how she dressed up her casual style with trendy heels and delicate layered jewelry.
In addition to fun, trendy outfits, I always encourage my seniors to bring props, outfits, or accessories with sentimental value. I want your senior portraits to reflect who you are, what you are passionate about, and what your senior year experience has included. Miss Tatum decided to bring her cheerleading uniform and letter jacket to her session, and I love how we were able to capture portraits that show off who she is.
ARHS Cheerleading
This boss babe is the co-captain of the cheer team at Auburn Riverside High School. She’s a passionate leader who makes everyone on the team feel included. The cheer team is a tight-knit family, and I know so much of that is due to Tatum’s leadership and kindness. They faced a ton of obstacles this past year with distanced learning and a delayed season, but Tatum remained optimistic and encouraging throughout it all.
Tatum is a talented cheerleader and dancer. She made it to nationals in Florida for cheerleading, and she has won two national dance championships. I am inspired by her dedication to cheer and dance, and love seeing her pursue her interests. I actually met her when she was a sophomore and she came along to a fellow cheerleader’s portrait session with me. How fun is that? I am so grateful this spunky and adventurous girl stayed in touch and chose me for her own senior portraits.
Keeping Busy as a High School Senior
Miss Tatum is super busy, balancing cheer, school, and two jobs. She’s a Class of 2021 AHP Model Team Member, but I rarely get to see her at shoots with her packed schedule. It was so great to be able to spend a whole day with her for her fall senior portraits!
Tatum has an awesome Jeep that she takes with her to Crystal Mountain, where she works and snowboards. She also loves surfing, reading, and spending time with her friends. I know she works hard to keep her grades up while investing time in all of her interests. I can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next. She is currently deciding between pursuing a major in health science or criminal justice, and I know she’ll succeed in whatever path she chooses. This ah-mazing senior loves helping people. She’s so kind and compassionate.
