Urban Opera Alley Senior Portraits
Miss Maya had her heart set on urban Opera Alley senior portraits, and I am so excited to share how we brought her vision to life. We started at my beautiful studio in downtown Tacoma before exploring the city on foot. From Opera Alley to the Spanish Steps and Antique Row, the two of us (plus mom and an assistant in tow!) had a great adventure.
Downtown Tacoma Senior Session
Tacoma is one of the best spots for modern, urban senior portraits in Washington. There are many sights to see, and a ton of fun backdrops and places to pose. The new McMenamins next to the Spanish Steps brings so much style to outdoor senior portraits. And since Maya loves theater and seeing plays, we took some of her portraits in front of the Pantages Theater.
And of course, Studio 253 is in the heart of downtown. Having my studio conveniently located means you can start your big day being pampered in the hair and makeup room. You’ll also have access to the AHP Style Closet with the season’s latest trends. And we can snap a few indoor studio portraits with a ton of natural light and fun backdrops before exploring the city.
Styling your Urban Opera Alley Senior Portraits
Maya brought the best dresses for her Tacoma senior portraits. I always recommend bringing a few different outfits that really capture your style. You can dress up for part of your session and keep it casual for the rest of your portraits. Maya embraced her curly hair in its natural state, and her glam makeup highlighted her natural features. She kicked things off with a T-shirt and jeans but personalized this casual look with fun red boots.
My favorite outfit of Maya’s was her gorgeous, blush ruffled dress, and yellow heels. She found a pink hat in the AHP Style Closet that matched perfectly. How cute she looked, posing with a stylish hat on the colorful streets of downtown! She changed into a flowy white dress and pink headband for the rest of her session, and I simply love how this outfit looked in front of the brick walls downtown.
Getting to Know the AHP Model Team Girls
Getting to know my seniors before and during their session is so important to me. Miss Maya was a 2021 AHP Model Team girl, and I am so grateful that she chose to apply! I loved hearing about her passion for theater and her involvement in her church youth group. This senior has a bright future ahead of her, and I simply love that she is always looking for new experiences. She loves to discover new interests and learn everything she can about them. She plans to study PR or communications in college, and I can’t wait to see all that she accomplishes.
