Holiday Pop-Up Shoot
The holiday pop-up shoot at Amanda Howse Photography was a stunning success! Depending on what is going on in your life, not everyone loves the holidays. We wanted to bring some cheer to this time of year by offering the girls a less traditional way to relax and hang out with their friends. We did this January session in 2 days and 2 parts! It takes a lot of time and planning to completely transform a space for a themed shoot, but it always pays off when we get to see it all come to life!
Festive Studio Portraits
In our awesome studio space, the 2024 team and I created a festive set featuring beautiful hand-hung ornaments, which the girls could pose “in” for a unique and fun holiday portrait. Some shots almost felt like they were in a snow globe! In addition to the hand-strung pastel decorations adorning the studio space, we also had custom ornamental wreaths available. The girls used these for props, holding them in front of the camera to create a festive frame within the shot! I never get over how creative they are!
Daytime to Nighttime Shoots
As I mentioned above, we split the shoot into two parts, with one taking place during the day and the other at night. This allowed for different lighting and atmosphere, fully utilizing the diversity of the space. The girls were also able to experiment with different looks and styles. We also brought back one of our favorite “in the box” sets and revamped it for our festive shoot. If you haven’t gotten the chance to see the full “in-the-box” session we did, you have to check it! Pastels and Pink
We took this year’s theme of “Pastels and Pink” to the next level! Pastels are perfect for a photo shoot at any time of the year. Especially if you’re looking for a soft, feminine vibe. The girls selected their outfits for the shoot and it was so much fun seeing them rock their pinks with neutral accessories like white heels, jeans, and French-tip nails. Although we always have a blast dressing up and playing around in the studio, the best part of this shoot was getting to celebrate the holidays with the best group of girls!
