Rainy Washington College Portraits
It wouldn’t be fall in the PNW without some rainy Washington college portraits! Miss Trinity graduated from college this year, and her mom booked me to take this sweet girl’s portraits! Fun fact: she is the second senior I’ve gotten to photograph for their family! After having her youngest (Miss Riley) experience the AHP VIP senior experience for her high school year, mom wanted some fun photos of her eldest daughter too. And they turned out SO good! Even while dodging the rain– unsuccessfully at times– we had so much fun!
Year-Round Studio Portraits
We started Trinity’s session in Studio253, which if you ask me, is the best way to start off a gloomy day! No matter the weather, we can always get high-quality shots with awesome lighting in the studio! For this session, we even got to use my new light-saber to get a variety of colors infused into the portraits (which was so fun!). Along with her selection of outfits, Trinity also brought along a bunch of props that meant a lot to her. I just love when seniors do this! Bringing items that represent your college years, hobbies, or values makes the portraits even more special. And a great way to keep the memories of those items forever!
AH-mazing Photos, Rain or Shine
After our studio time, we traveled to the new Dunes Park at Point Defiance, and ended our day at Point Ruston! It was an overcast, gloomy WA day, but still beautiful. We scheduled Trinity’s shoot for early June and definitely got the rainy end of spring weather (we have had such weird weather this year)! We even got wet and had to hide from the rain. HA! But rain or shine, we still got AH-mazing photos! Trinity was a trooper! Pro tip: If you love the look of a certain season, and are wanting to take your portraits then, make sure to schedule early. July-August is the best time for senior summer portraits and September-October is the best for fall!! Which season do you prefer??
