Euphoria Themed Shoot
After much anticipation, I am happy to reveal the AHP class of 2023, Euphoria Themed shoot!! This Model Team session came about because I simply love the HBO TV show Euphoria. Its outfits, makeup, and use of lights & color are not only visually stunning but so fun as well!! I wanted to create something similar for an editorial shoot, so we did!! The girls couldn’t have been more excited, and neither could I!
Lights, Camera, Colors
We turned Studio253 into the perfect, mini, Euphoria set. To do that, we got a disco ball, played with some fun lights, added a sunset lamp, and made magic! We wanted to make sure we captured the emotional realism created in the show by cinematographer Marcell Rév that the show is so well known for. The dark and high-contrast lighting as well as fun editing made this possible! Normally our shoots are all about capturing that gorgeous sunlight and natural beauty. For this shoot, we got to do something completely different! And we all had a blast!!
An AHP Party
Wait, is this shoot about us?? AH-bsolutely it was! This was a fun extra shoot for the model team, but others were invited too!!! And I wanted to make sure each one of them got to express as much of their euphoric selves as they wanted. Which for some meant endless glitter and sparkles!! For others, it meant fun hairstyles and over-the-top accessories. The girls dressed in bright, bold colors, and their makeup matched that same vibe. From blue eyeshadow to thick eyeliner and even rhinestones! This shoot may have originated as a fun pop-culture celebration of a show we all love, but the girls really ended up making it their own!
Living Our Best Lives…
This shoot was so much fun, and it was a blast watching the girls get to jump completely out of their normal model team boxes. Sometimes it is fun to dress up and just get to play a character for a couple of hours. Model Team is all about girls supporting girls and getting the chance to explore fun new looks and opportunities together. And of course, getting some awesome photos in the process!!
