High School 4th of July Portraits
The 2023 AHP Model Team got to show off their patriotism last month in these high school 4th of July portraits!! When I think of the 4th, I imagine fireworks, family and friends, and lots of red, white, and blue! We wanted to incorporate all of these fun ideas into one shoot that really felt like a little party for America! And I think these girls just rocked the assignment!! While we couldn’t invite everyone to the party, here is your invite to share the festivities with us virtually!
Downtown Tacoma Industrial Park
For this shoot/party, we went to one of my old fave locations: the industrial area of downtown Tacoma! I thought it was just the perfect place to show off their USA gear, surrounded by remnants of what helps build and support this awesome city we live in! The big, red, wooden building and bright blue wall were the perfect backgrounds to add those pops of patriotic colors. And we loved posing on the big truck bed and long staircases! It is probably the last year we will be using this spot for our shoots, so we made sure to make the most of it!! What do you think??
Cold and Windy July
It was cold and windy on our shoot day, not what we were hoping for, but this year has had all kinds of weather challenges for the ’23 team! Check out their first team full shoot here to see how we made the most of our unexpected rainy day shoot earlier this year! Despite the weather, these girls rocked it! You can’t even tell from the photos how windy it was! They are absolute pros already and it’s only the second photoshoot! Even in the wind, we all had a blast!
Patriotic Props!
These girls know how to roll with the punches when it comes to erratic outdoor sessions and how to bring the fun! For this team shoot, I had the girls dress in their best red white, and blue. They really went all out! We brought tons of themed props to add to the party vibes, from hats to pompoms, leis and beads, and of course tons of flags! Some of the girls even had matching USA-themed nail art! So Cute!! Whatever the session, I know these girls will really make it their own! Happy 4th of July from me and the 2023 Model Team!!
