NYU Tacoma Senior Portraits
We had such a fun session with this theatre girl for her NYU Tacoma senior portraits! Miss Nora will be attending NYU this fall with one of her close friends and Model Team member, Molly. Stay tuned for Molly’s senior session coming up on the blog later! I am so happy I got to snag a shoot with this energetic girlie before she heads off to college. Nora was a natural in front of the camera and made these fun, fall, photos an absolute blast!
Downtown Tacoma Theatre District
We started this mid-October session near Studio253 at the famous parking garage and theatre district in downtown Tacoma. This location offers tons of great backgrounds for urban-themed photos. From the trees to the historic buildings, and of course the bright artwork on the walls, which looked so good against Nora’s dark hair! Our senior started in a baggy, high-waisted, wide-leg, black jean with a cute, pale green, collared crop. Baggy pants are back in style, and were perfect for this fall session! And she killed it with her bright red, Dickies carpenter pants which she changed into for her fit at the parking garage. This is your reminder: don’t be afraid to wear red! It looks so good with a neutral top and can match tons of different locations! So if it fits your style, give it a try!
Showstopping Senior Style
Along with her bold red pants, Nora had a bunch of other showstopping looks that she brought for her portraits. We did her session in mid-October, which allowed for cute sweaters and fall leaves- my fave!!! Her light blue, V-neck sweater with white pants and gold necklaces was a perfect transition look for a few shots in the city and at Chambers Bay (how cute is the one with her mom?!). Once there, we went from white pants to a full all-white fit with those fun, heeled booties. Nora borrowed these from the AHP Style Closet to match her awesome dress and complete the white monochrome look! I mean, wow! What a great shot with the bridge and yummy sun streaming through!
Beachy-Vibes at Chambers Bay
We ended this senior’s session at Chambers Bay– a fave for many seniors this year. It was a little cold, but Nora was not afraid to change into a few dresses and make a splash (literally) in the chilly water. Sometimes you have to get your feet wet! Especially for some AH-mazing shots at the beach! Her flowy, floral print dress and Birks were just perfect for the rocky beach and to snag a few shots on the driftwood benches. And I loved how gorgeous her blue eyes looked against the calm, oceanfront waves! It was so fun doing this beach session with our senior, even in the fall!! We wish Miss Nora good luck at college and in NYC this coming school year. Break a leg!
