Summer Senior Portraits in Washington
Looking for fun summer senior portraits in Washington? Miss Kendall and I had a gorgeous August day for her senior session, and I am so excited to feature it. We kicked things off in my studio in downtown Tacoma, where Kendall posed in front of the super fun Tezza Collage wall.
Having a studio downtown means that we have the best spot for indoor senior portraits, but we can also easily adventure to one of the many nearby locations. Kendall decided on Fort Steilacoom for her outdoor portraits, and we had a perfect sunny day.
Hot Summer Style
It was definitely summer in Washington! The sun was shining and it was a hot August day. Miss Kendall drove her super cute black Jeep (a stick shift!) to her session and kicked things off in style. She chose fun summer outfits that showed off her glowing tan, and the blue water made her stunning blue eyes pop. If you want to look tan in your photos, then a summer senior session in Washington is for you!
This boss babe has an awesome style that makes me think of a VSCO girl. She loves simple and easy wardrobe pieces and pairs them together for an American girl-next-door look. I simply love how this gave her portraits a timeless feel. She paired a simple black T-shirt with fun snow leopard print shorts and the cutest black sandals. She also switched it up with a cute khaki skirt, flirty polka dot romper, and striped sundress. And even though it was hot, we couldn’t resist a couple of portraits with a classic jean jacket and a chunky sweater.
The Best Outdoor Location for Senior Portraits in Washington
Fort Steilacoom is, hands down, one of the best spots for senior portraits. It is so versatile. In the summer, the tall grass looks like fields of wheat. But the trees are still lush and green. For those who want a rustic look, the red barns and silos are simply perfect. And on a hot day, it’s an easy walk down to the water to dip your toes in. But this isn’t just a spot for summer senior portraits. It’s also gorgeous in the fall as the colors start to change.
Kendall wanted a fun, carefree session and she got it. I loved her willingness to skip through the fields and let her hair down. Her senior session was all about capturing her adventurous spirit and endless positivity.
Getting to Know Kendall
Miss Kendall is on the Class of 2021 AHP Model Team, and I have just loved getting to know her. She is such a family-oriented person, and I know it means so much to her to have their support. From being cheered on by her cousins at a volleyball game, to being inspired by her mom on a regular basis, this boss babe knows how important it is to keep family close. She was even born on her dad’s birthday!
Kendall’s mom came to the session, and it was so fun getting to know her, too. Kendall lights up when she talks about her mom and what their relationship means to her. She knows her mom is there for her no matter what. They have an amazing relationship, and I loved seeing them interact.
Under the Texan Sun
Kendall has decided to head to Texas Tech for college! She loves the traditional feel of the state and was won over by the amount of school spirit that Texas Tech has. She has big plans to major in biomedical engineering, as it combines her interest in the medical field, mathematics, and problem-solving.
She’s still a few months away from heading off to college, but she is already thinking about making new friends and being out on her own. I cannot wait to see what this boss babe accomplishes.
