Tacoma Senior Photos in Autumn

Looking for Tacoma senior photos with autumn colors? I am so excited to share Miss Maci’s senior session at Point Defiance and Owen Beach. Fall was the perfect season for this gorgeous redhead to have her senior portraits taken, and I am so grateful that this 2019 Mount Rainier High School grad chose me to capture them.

Redhead Style

I’m a redhead too, and I just love shooting other redheads (pun intended!) with my camera. Maci has stunning red hair that she styled beautifully with loose curls. Her makeup highlighted her natural features, and her outfits were perfect for the changing weather.

Maci chose to kick off her session with the best casual outfit for senior portraits. A jean jacket should be a staple for every senior. This layering piece is great for spring, summer, and fall senior portraits. It can go over cute dresses and more casual outfits. Maci paired hers with a white t-shirt, black jeans, and Vans.

Layering is so important in autumn, and Maci brought the cutest long sweater to pair with one of her other casual looks. And she dressed up a few of her senior portraits with a gorgeous white dress and nude heels.

School Spirit

Since we shot Maci’s portraits in the fall, she did not have her cap and gown yet. But she borrowed her sibling’s cap and gown, so we were able to take senior portraits with her looking like a grad! The cap and gown looked perfect over her white lace dress.

I also recommend bringing outfits that will show off your interests and extracurriculars. Sports uniforms, cheer accessories, and spirit wear are all great ways to capture what your high school experience was like! Maci brought her soccer captain uniform and we captured a few portraits of her on the field.

Point Defiance Senior Photos

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that Point Defiance is one of my favorite spots for outdoor senior portraits. There are so many ah-mazing views and backdrops – from the rose garden down to Owen Beach. Maci and I explored the entire area, taking advantage of the natural landscape.

There is a little bit of everything at the park, from grassy fields to sandy beaches. Maci posed on the driftwood and even dipped her bare feet into the cold water!
