Wintery Museum of Glass Senior Portraits
These wintery senior portraits at the Museum of Glass happened in January, way before we had even heard of COVID-19. It was my first shoot of 2020, and I am so grateful to Xiomara for braving the cold PNW weather! It may have been cloudy and grey, but this boss babe brought the color with her outfits. I am so excited to share this colorful winter senior session.
Winter Fashion for Senior Portraits
When your senior portraits are on an overcast day, a pop of color can make all the difference. We are used to grey skies in the PNW, and the Museum of Glass has gorgeous grey and white tones throughout. Xiomara started her session in an awesome bright red sweater and jeans. That bold color choice was a sign that this was going to be an ah-mazing session!
Xiomara swapped out the red sweater for a purple long sleeve top. If you know me, you know that my favorite color is purple! Xiomara wore it so well. She kept her outfit casual with cuffed jeans, Vans sneakers, and an awesome jacket with a fur-trimmed hood. The furry jacket paired perfectly with her yellow top, black skirt, and tights. Xiomara even braved a few snaps in the cold without her jacket on to show off her outfit.
Professional Hair and Makeup
Before her senior portrait session, Xiomara was pampered by my HMUA, Kara. The two hours of glam time meant Xiomara looked and felt her best before her session. Xiomara chose to wear her hair down in gorgeous curls, with makeup that highlighted her natural features.
Pro hair and makeup are part of every AHP senior session. Professional artists know the difference between your everyday makeup and what will look best on camera. You will still look like yourself, but with all your gorgeous features highlighted! You even have the option to bring your stylist to your session to switch your hair and makeup looks with your outfit changes.
The Museum of Glass
The Museum of Glass in Tacoma is one of the best spots for outdoor senior portraits. The glass sculptures are iconic for the PNW, and they add so much interest to your portraits. The result is ultra-modern senior portraits that represent where you are from! Xiomara and I had so much fun exploring the museum and posing with the different sculptures and backgrounds.
