Class of 2021 AHP Senior Model Team Introduction
The Tacoma Love Mural was the best spot for the Class of 2021 AHP Senior Model Team to have their first group photoshoot. I spend so much time getting to know the girls who apply to be on the AHP Model Team, and I am so proud of the team I have put together.
These girls make up a kind, compassionate, and diverse group. I am so lucky to have them all signed on as model team reps! The AHP Model Team is a way to make the most of your senior year and I was blown away by this year’s applicants.
The AHP Senior Model Team
What is the AHP Senior Model Team? It’s a group of high school senior girls who represent Amanda Howse Photography! These girls have their senior portraits taken by yours truly, but they also participate in themed portrait sessions throughout the year.
I created the model team to give seniors a place where they can make new friends, boost their confidence, and cheer on their new friends during portrait sessions. These girls would probably not meet each other without the AHP Model Team, and I see lasting friendships built each year.
Good Things Come in Twos
It’s 2020, so we are already off to a fun start with the “twos” in this year. This year’s model team also has two sets of twins! To keep things interesting, we also have two girls named Alexis, two Olivias, two Chloes (though they spell their names differently!), and two Kendalls. I think it is so fun to see a theme start to develop when putting together the AHP Model Team, and this year it’s true that good things come in twos.
Getting a Running Start
Almost half of the 2021 AHP Model Team participates in Running Start. This is such an AH-mazing program for juniors and seniors, as it lets them take college courses for high school and college credits.
These girls are taking the initiative to get ahead. They all have such bright futures ahead of them, and I love seeing them take advantage of opportunities available to them.
Celebrating Differences and Similarities
The AHP Model Team members are from different schools and have different interests. Though I choose girls from the Tacoma and surrounding areas, I make sure there are only a few girls from each school. This ensures a diverse team! It also means all the girls are stepping outside their comfort zones to meet new people.
The athletic girls on the AHP Model Team may meet each other as opponents on the field, but the AHP Model Team is an environment where they can really get to know each other. I love seeing the girls celebrate their similarities and differences.
